Que sera sera Big Ange

Good old Big Ange got has unfortunately got the boot at Spurs after ending their 17 year wait for a trophy, and not just the League Cup this time but a European Trophy!! It’s a sad state of affairs when you win a trophy and still get the sack but hey that’s todays world of clubs being more bothered about finishing 5th or 6th than winning a trophy, make it make sense!! Just ask Crystal Palace fans what they would choose after winning the FA Cup.

Yes alright the league form was horrendous, 17th is a disgusting place to finish, but let’s add some context. After being injury ravaged for a large chunk of the season it became pretty clear that the priority was the Europa League, and much the same for Man United too whom they beat in the final. Both clubs, managers and players weren’t too fussed in the league after about half way through the season and such the league form dropped off massively, the Europa League was always the priority, gaining Champions League qualification was the priority and probably an expectation at the start of the season to which it was achieved. Even with the cup win Spurs get the feel of a club in turmoil, yes they will improve in the league next year and should be able to attract some players but what is acceptable now, will a 6th place finish and no trophy be a good season next year? Fans sometimes need to be careful for what they wish for, just look at West Ham for the shit show they have become since firing Moyes.

Big Ange will be back anyway, really wouldn’t surprise us to see a straight swap with Frank going to Spurs, and Ange going to Brentford, they guy is a breath of fresh air, everything he says is pretty much spot on, his views on playing the game of football, his views on VAR, his general interviews, safe to say we want Ange back in the Premier League sooner rather than later, who knows he might just win another trophy!!
